Whether handling fire, police, EMS, or other calls, you’ll be glad to know they have a SPARKGAP wireless data system to alert and mobilize responders.
The SPARKGAP system can alert responder groups within 5 seconds. Dispatchers are then informed by name which responders have been alerted, who has received the message, who reads the message, and how they reply, all from their pagers with no reliance on telephone callback. For larger groups, the SPARKGAP can display total manpower response counts. Message transmissions are protected with 128-bit encryption, and with an optional service agreement, responders can roam onto the SkyTel™ network to stay in contact even when they leave your coverage!
Additionally, with the use of the SPARKGAP Dispatch Client (SDC), dispatches and alerts can originate from outside the 911 center. From any PC with IP access to the SPARKGAP, authorized users can alert responders and track their replies.
Dispatchers can elect to view response information on a detailed, individual level, or based on total manpower response counts. This information comes back immediately, directly from responders’ pagers, so field commanders can make immediate decisions on escalation and mutual aid before even arriving on scene.
